ROLE OF THE BOARD

The role of the Board is to ensure that the College Philosophy is honoured, enacted and reverenced in all facets of College life.

The Board membership is taken from the group comprised of the Provincial Leader, members of the Council of the province and members of the Congregation nominated by the Provincial.

The Directors of the Board number between six and twelve persons appointed by the members. These directors are taken from the Congregation and the parent body, past and present, of the College. The Principal of the College, the Business Manager and the College Secretary have an ex officio role on the Board.

The Board meets regularly throughout the year and is responsible for all policy, financial and governance issues within the College. The Board is the representative body of the Josephite Sisters who retain ownership of and responsibility for Mary MacKillop College.
