PHILOSOPHY OF THE COLLEGE

The curriculum offered at Mary MacKillop College is a student-centred, inclusive curriculum based upon the Dimensions of Learning and Habits of Mind frameworks which is designed to provide a learning environment and structure suitable for the whole range of students. The curriculum aims to ensure that students undertake studies which are suitable in terms of their abilities, readiness and interests, while, at the same time, ensuring that they experience all Key Learning Areas. It fully involves students and their parents in planning programmes of study which suit the needs of the individual student. The curriculum structure provides flexibility and so gives us a greater opportunity to match the curriculum offerings to the needs of each student.
