Connect and Serve in Primary
Service, Stewardship, and Servant Leadership
As part of our holistic approach to student development, we intentionally cultivate a culture of service, encouraging students to look beyond themselves and recognise the impact they can have within their school, community, and the wider world.
Students participate in meaningful acts of service within the school community, including:
- Cleaning and caring for shared spaces — taking responsibility for the environment they use;
- Serving others — supporting younger students, assisting staff, and modelling kindness;
- Environmental stewardship — caring for gardens and outdoor areas as part of creation care;
- Leadership through action — demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a willingness to help.
These experiences help students understand that leadership is not about position, but about service, responsibility, and character.
Beyond the school grounds, students are encouraged to broaden their perspective and recognise the needs of the wider community. Through partnerships with local charities such as Winter Shelter, Lifehouse, and Hope Reins, students learn how compassion, generosity, and practical support can make a real difference in others' lives.
We also foster a mindset of gratefulness, helping students reflect on the many people who contribute to their wellbeing—including local government, volunteers, and community organisations. This practice encourages humility, appreciation, and a deeper understanding of how interconnected their world truly is.
Through these service‑focused opportunities, students grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually, developing into thoughtful, compassionate young people who understand their capacity to contribute positively wherever God places them.
